Welcome to the Kerckhoff Ranch Company website. Feel free to browse through these pages to get interesting information about the Ranch. The Kerckhoff Ranch is a little bit more than 3000 acres located in the Huasna area of Central California. A majority of the Ranch is a portion of the original Huasna landgrant given to Isaac Sparks by the Mexican government in 1843.The ranch also includes some adjacent parcels purchased over the years (Gilstrap and other smaller parcels). Please read up on Huasna History to obtain more interesting tidbits of family history.
The Kerckhoff Ranch Company is organized as an C-Corporation whose stockholders are primarily family members (descendants of Isaac Sparks and Rosa Sparks Porter). There is a five-member board who oversee the operations of the Ranch. Please visit Company History and the Board Members section for more information on this topic.
The Kerckhoff Ranch is a working cattle ranch. The topography is a mix of rugged hills and flatter grazing lands. Shareholders are able to visit the Ranch with family members provided that the cattle ranching operations are not hindered in any manner. Please see the section on Visitation Rules for details on visiting the Ranch.
If you have any questions, please fell free to contact a board member who hopefully will have the answers.
